Halftime for the Chesapeake Bay: New Webpage on Midpoint Assessment of Pollution Cleanup Effort

Evan Isaacson, J.D., is a former CPR Policy Analyst. He joined the organization in 2015 to work on its Chesapeake Bay program, having previously worked as a policy analyst at the Maryland Department of Legislative Services.

Mr. Isaacson has spent over a decade studying and working on issues of environmental law and policy.  In 2004, he began coursework toward a certificate of concentration in environmental law at the University of Maryland School of Law, while joining the School's Maryland Environmental Law Society (MELS) and participating in several internships and other opportunities with state and federal environmental agencies, including the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the Maryland Office of the Attorney General within the Maryland Department of the Environment and the Maryland Energy Administration.

After joining the Maryland Bar, Mr. Isaacson spent eight legislative sessions serving the Maryland General Assembly as a legislative analyst in the Natural Resources, Environment, and Transportation workgroup, as well as counsel to the Joint Committee on Administrative, Executive, and Legislative Review.  He established a thorough understanding of the development and implementation of environmental laws in the context of both the legislative process during each session and the year-round regulatory process.

Mr. Isaacson received a B.A. in International Relations and Geography in 2004, and a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2007.  He lives with his wife and dog at the mouth of the Severn River near Annapolis.
